Local CDL Driver - Home Nightly

Location: Mandan, ND
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27-$30 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday starting at 7:00 AM | Optional Saturdays | Overtime Available

TransTrash is looking for a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our team full-time in the Bismarck/Mandan area. This local position allows you to be home every night—no overnight travel required. As a key member of our operations team, you'll operate collection vehicles, service commercial waste and recycling containers, and safely transport materials to designated disposal facilities.

This is a versatile, hands-on role offering cross-training across Residential, Commercial, and Roll-Off routes, providing variety in your day and opportunities to expand your skills. Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Service commercial dumpsters using hydraulic lift systems
  • Follow assigned routes using onboard tablet technology
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT vehicle inspections
  • Transport collected waste and recyclable material to disposal facilities
  • Safely maneuver trucks in tight commercial environments
  • Maintain accurate route and service documentation
  • Assist with cleanup around container areas as needed
  • Comply with all company, DOT, federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Will be cross trained on all types of trucks/routes

Qualifications

  • Valid Class B CDL required (Class A preferred)
  • Ability to work 40-45 hours per week
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to repeatedly enter and exit truck throughout shift
  • Comfortable operating hydraulic controls and collection equipment
  • Previous transportation or route-driving experience preferred
  • Basic tablet/computer skills for route processing and work orders
  • Strong attendance and communication skills
